Description
Chudakarma (Mundan) – ଛୁଡାକର୍ମ / ମୁଣ୍ଡନ ପୂଜା
✂️ A sacred samskara marking your child’s first step towards purity and growth 🌼
Chudakarma, also known as Mundan Sanskar or Mundan Ceremony, is one of the sixteen important Hindu Samskaras (rites of passage). It involves the first haircut or head-shaving of a child, usually performed in the first or third year of age. In Odisha, it is lovingly called ଛୁଡାକର୍ମ (Chudakarma) or ମୁଣ୍ଡନ (Mundan).
This ritual is deeply symbolic—it is believed to purify the child, remove negative karmic imprints from past lives, and promote healthy hair growth and spiritual awakening.
