Rama Navami (ରାମ ନବମୀ) is the auspicious celebration of the birth of Lord Rama, the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu, who descended to uphold Dharma and defeat evil. Observed on the ninth day (Navami) of Shukla Paksha in the month of Chaitra (March–April), this sacred day marks the culmination of Chaitra Navaratri and is widely celebrated across India, including Odisha.
Lord Rama, born to King Dasharatha and Queen Kaushalya in Ayodhya, is worshipped for his ideal character, devotion to duty, and exemplary values. The day is celebrated with pujas, bhajans, Ram Katha, and recitation of Ramayana.
